Our co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Anant Ahuja, spoke at a virtual panel in #SankalpGlobal2022 organized by Sankalp Forum and centered on the theme of #TransformingImpact. Co-curated by Sankalp Forum and Dasra, the session focused on moving the needle in bringing the most vulnerable groups of informal workers into the fold of sustainable and equitable development.
Anant A highlighted Good Business Lab’s (GBL) vision of incentivizing businesses to prioritize worker well-being. He shared insights from an evaluation GBL conducted of the business impact of enabling worker voice. This evaluation also showcased that the mere provision of an anonymous mechanism to express grievances can have a positive impact on turnover and absenteeism rates, ultimately leading to higher productivity and better Return on Investment (ROI) for businesses. Anant A concluded his session by discussing how research on worker voice, like the kind GBL is engaging in, is transferable to the large, informal sector that exists in developing countries.
